Welcome to the NEW farcebook.us!
We have made some major updates to the website, as you can probably tell already. The new site no longer uses Flash, so it is compatible with all browsers, smartphones and tablets.
If you had an account on the old website, we have converted it for you. Your username is the email you signed up with, your password is your old login code. Once logged in, you will need to set up your classes and students.
Your old profiles were not converted, however you can still access the old version at www.farcebk.us until the end of the year.
If you have any questions or issues, please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
How does "Farcebook" work?
Students fill out a blank "Farce" book profile of any historical figure, politician, war hero, etc. on the Farcebook.us website. The profile page is then saved and is editable and printable. Once completed, students submit the profile for review by you. If approved, then the entire class can read the profile.
To purchase a one-year subscription to Create Your Own "Farce" book, click the "Sign Up" link in the top bar. After your order has been placed, you will receive a password for you and your class to access the site. Give your students the password and have them log in at www.farcebook.us., accessible from school or home. The access code is only good for ONE teacher and all of his or her students.
Farcebook.us also features 44 already-created Social Studies "Farce" book profiles. These profiles contain hyperlinks to websites with credible information about each specific person. These are a great research tool!
To purchase the created profiles in sets, scroll down and click the purchase link above the set you desire. To purchase a one-year subscription to the full set of 44 "Farce" book profiles, click here. For a free sample profile, click on "George Washington" below.
